Over the years, something peculiar has become a shared experience among us. One day, I caught a glimpse of a male figure moving out of the corner of my eye. At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but it didn’t stop there. I began seeing this figure regularly-walking past doors, standing still in the shadows-yet whenever I turned to look, no one was there. To my surprise, I wasn’t alone in this.
We’re going to need it later.
Legs and arms next,

detach them at the joints,

rrrr, rrrr, rrr.

Quarter it- like firewood.
Prepare a 200-liter pot,

you happen to have on hand.
You’ll need some lab-grade acid, heat it,

to increase the rate of dissolution.
Add the meat,

Get to stirring!
Watch your firewood melt, oily,

cream colored,

fat floating at the surface.
Bones will be left behind,

Things always get left behind.
So you have to destroy them,

leave nothing.
Use a hammer

Beat like a drum

til’ baby powder.
Now that your stew is ready,

hunger satiated,

Pour it into the nearest ocean.

Saltwater and oily fat,

Feeding each other.
